As part of Swiss financial group Vontobel’s growth ambitions in the insurance sector – a strategic focus area for its institutional clients business – it has appointed Emmanuel Archampong as its head of insurance solutions, based in London.
In this role, he will lead the expansion of the firm’s insurance advisory, origination and specialist capabilities across the European and Asia-Pacific regions, it notes, “leveraging its broad expertise in fixed income, solutions and private markets to deliver tailored investment solutions for insurers”.
Prior to joining the firm, Archampong was the head of sales for UK institutional and insurance at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He previously held senior insurance-focused roles at Wells Fargo Asset Management, Royal London Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He reports to Christoph von Reiche, the firm’s head of institutional clients.
“Archampong’s expertise and deep understanding of insurers’ investment and regulatory needs,” von Reiche says, “will help us leverage Vontobel’s broad investment capabilities across liquid and private markets, as well as solutions, to better serve this important client segment.”
